Increase Brand Awareness

Challenge

Wanting to raise the visibility of the city and position it as a place to do business, Mayor Mike Spano tasked T&B with creating a positive image of Yonkers on the local, county and regional level. The goal was to increase the number of new businesses, and expand the number of existing businesses in Yonkers.

Solution

T&B conceived a new brand — Generation Yonkers (Gen Y) — that spoke to the people and businesses the mayor wanted to attract. This campaign branded Yonkers as the new ‘hipsturbia’ — a great place to work, live and play. The campaign features testimonials of recent business success stories, many from the tech industry, to help establish Yonkers as the destination for fast-growing high-tech companies in the NY Metro Area.
