Challenge

On the occasion of Al Shindagha Days 2020 and the celebration of the Dubai Shopping Festival 25th Anniversary, Room Five created a light and sound show for the duration of 10 days to celebrate the newly renovated Al Shindagha Museum area.

Solution

The creation of the lighting process used a variety of Gobo patterns and colors morphing into each other to give a visual interpretation and a story to a very emotional sound track as well as to bring out the architecture elements of the Sheikh Saeed’s House specifically for the audience around the stage area and for the buildings in general when seen passing by the Creek or living on the other side of the waterfront. The music started by having the various lighting effects go in sync with the music track, which made the buildings come gradually to life. As the music grew the light also grew telling the story through atmospheric and theatrical lighting with movement and colors building up to a Crescendo of light beams coming from the tops of the buildings leading to the finale.
