Bazooka Candy Brands launches a new product!
Challenge
Bazooka candy brands were introducing a new product, and needed an integrated marketing campaign to reach existing and new audiences. As they needed to create buzz and chatter to assist in their acquisition of retail shelf space, they turned to Overdrive for help.
Solution
Overdrive devised an experiential social sampling program targeting moms that combined Facebook, social sharing, and direct mail, turning the online interaction into real-world experiences. Parents got to see the product in action and truly experience their children’s delight when they received the product “just for them” by US Mail. They were able to implement this strategy with a relatively modest facebook ads budget that focused on the quality of their content, such as with the creation of their “Sweet Tweets” video.
Results
Thanks to Overdrive’s extensive social media campaign, Bazooka saw their Facebook fan base increase by thousands within a matter of hours! They saw over 18,000 likes on their Facebook page after roughly ten hours. With how personalized this campaign was for fans, Bazooka was able to make a huge increase in social media engagement, with over 250,000 impressions on Twitter! Ultimately, Bazooka sold out of their new product within the very first day proving the quality of the campaign and their new product!
