Sarnia Duty Free
Challenge
Working in the Travel Retail space offers many opportunities with great brands and unique selling environment. Consideration needs to encompass traveler's, shopping duty free, and supplier products and programs. Also the stores themselves have a hard time as the multiple supplier brands have strong visual footprints.
Solution
In order to provide a shopper with the duty free experience we developed seasonal campaigns using rich colour palettes, typography, photography and illustrated elements to create memorable duty free interactions. Our program uses multiple signage types throughout the interior and exterior of the store as well as complimentary digital counterparts primarily the website and social media. We believe the value that the program offers is a rich memorable experience to help shoppers in the purchases. Clearly focused signage and visuals offers customers a more guided tour of the store while re-enforcing the duty free brand and duty free values a shopper is privy too. Another exciting aspect of the Duty Free program we build was the ability to run supplier driven contents through FaceBook.
Results
Taking advantage of the medium we were able to drive contests that spanned regionally drawing thousands to the website and building awareness around supplier brands. Typical contests have approximately 25k - 50k entries that drove an additional traffic to the website promoting e-commerce and product awareness.
