Celadon's customer had a clear vision: they wanted to develop a food ordering application that could seamlessly handle three main scenarios—orders placed within the venue, preorders, and delivery requests. They also stressed the significance of integrating the app seamlessly with their Point of Sale (POS) system. This integration would not only ensure order confirmation but also keep menu data synchronized, ultimately optimizing management efforts.
Solution
We began the project with a thorough business analysis, studying venue operations through interviews with local managers and evaluating the existing POS system for integration opportunities. This approach led to the creation of an efficient food ordering app, reducing staff workload and boosting restaurant ROI. We provided mobile app development and web app services, including a system backend, with seamless integration of payment and POS systems. Our engineers used Django for the web interface, simplifying system management and allowing for venue addition, data access, promotional messaging, and analytics. An exciting aspect was aligning our R&D with the customer's data. We developed a personalized suggestions feature, increasing upselling by up to 20% among frequent users.
