Our client, a prominent local horse club, approached us with a request to create a mobile application capable of analyzing and presenting intricate real-time racing data in a user-friendly and comprehensible manner. Additionally, we needed to address an important IoT-related aspect: integrating the app seamlessly with the club's existing software, establishing efficient data transfer procedures according to the client's capabilities, and building the project around these specific requirements. Time constraints added to the challenge; we were tasked with developing and launching the app within a tight four-month timeframe, encompassing design, testing, and ensuring code quality.
Solution
Given the stringent deadline, we sought a tool that could ensure rapid and efficient development, leading us to opt for our preferred choice—React Native for mobile app development. Utilizing React Native significantly expedited front-end development, enabling concurrent work on multiple tasks. Moreover, we established a well-structured communication process, ensuring timely client feedback and comments, which in turn facilitated a seamless development workflow.
Results
Thanks to meticulous planning and effective communication, we successfully completed the IoT mobile app project right on schedule. The app is now available on both the Apple Store and Google Play, offering all the essential functionalities, including tracking past, present, and upcoming horse riding events. Additionally, we are committed to providing ongoing support and are currently developing exciting new features to enhance its capabilities.
