Challenge
The client Edenred is a leading services and payments platform and the everyday companion for people at work, connecting 50 million employees and 2 million partner merchants in 46 countries via more than 850,000 corporate clients. Edenred offers specific-purpose payment solutions for food (meal vouchers), fleet and mobility (fuel cards, commuter vouchers), incentives (gift vouchers, employee engagement platforms) and corporate payments (virtual cards). These solutions enhance employee well-being and purchasing power, improve companies’ attractiveness and efficiency, and vitalize the employment market and the local economy. Business Challenge Edenred was already issuing meal and gift vouchers, but the existing mobile application was limited in terms of available features. They contacted Tremend to help them overcome this challenge and create two high-end mobile apps, a self-service instrument for the beneficiaries.
Solution
The engineers from Tremend used the most advanced technologies and programming languages to create two user-friendly, easy-to-use and reliable mobile apps. These apps enable users to manage Edenred cards: Ticket Restaurant, Edenred Vacanta, Edenred Cultural and Edenred Cadou. At the same time, it enables Edenred to stay in touch with its beneficiaries and keep them informed. Inside the app, users can activate, block & unblock their cards, see updated information & transaction history, see & change the PIN code, access a complete map of partner retailers, gain access to certain promotions and even get customized meal recommendations from a nutrition specialist from Edenred.
Results
The two apps created by Tremend enabled Edenred to better communicate with their end-users and opened up a whole new array of opportunities. Both applications had a fast adoption rate and became the preferred method for card management. The GPS-powered map came as a real success, enabling Edenred to extend its partnerships thanks to the recommendation section.
