Challenge

HOMii is a highly disruptive and forward-thinking rental and property investment company that is taking the South African Urban Millennial Rental Market by storm. With a growing portfolio of residential buildings, perfectly situated in city centres, HOMii’s tech-enabled approach to property management is shaking the foundations of the traditional property market. THE CHALLENGE So Interactive was approached to design the HOMii App UX and UI, the central ingredient to this disruptive rental solution’s success. The App is what makes it possible for HOMii to manage all bookings, access control, in fact, all front-of-house customer-facing processes are automated and executed in-app.

Solution

Using our unique SoColab Workshopping process we collaborated with the HOMii team to solve the key UX and UI challenges that they faced. Some of these challenges included seamless access control and security, easy renewals, simple booking, and apartment showcasing, reporting maintenance requests, making payments, inviting guests, and sending alerts before utilities run out. Once these challenges were defined, we then set about creating a UX strategy and User Profile, which formed the foundation for our UX Prototyping and inevitably our UI Design Sprints.
