Scavenger Hunt of Mastercard
Challenge
The objective was to educate conference attendees about new and disruptive technologies through an interactive experience. The goal was to create a memorable activation where participants searched for and collected rewards throughout the venue.
Solution
An NFT activation and prize game was created for the conference. Five unique, limited-edition NFTs, called PODs (proof-of-doing), were available for attendees to claim using QR codes. These codes were placed at key locations like entrances, panel discussions, and partner booths. Claiming the PODs automatically entered participants into a prize draw. Rewards included exclusive merchandise, a one-on-one session with a Mastercard executive, VIP party tickets, a web3 educational workshop, and a grand prize experience.
Results
The activation was distributed over 1,200 PODs. More than 700 new unique NEAR-based wallets were created directly at the conference. The initiative showed how collaboration can turn a conference into an engaging, tech-focused environment.
