In 1999, Quaker City Mercantile created the Sailor Jerry lifestyle and rum brand as a hobby. Thanks to our organic, guerilla, influencer/street marketing approach within various niche communities, Sailor Jerry Rum quickly became the fastest growing rum brand in America and quickly thereafter the world. In 2008, we sold the brand to global whiskey powerhouse, William Grant & Sons and signed a long-term contract to manage all aspects of the brand’s global expansion.
