Challenge

Unilever is a British FMCG company that sells its products in over 190 countries. Another noteworthy feature is that they control over 400 brands, implying significant risk diversification as well as a wide range of items, including food, personal care products, and cleaning chemicals. Twelve of these brands, in fact, have annual sales of more than a billion euros. We Mygento have been successfully partnered with Unilever for quite a while now, and that includes the handling of Magento Commerce Cloud B2B platform project. This Unilever project has walked a long collaboration road, and we are sure that the best is yet to come!

Solution

Unilever's mission, as stated on their website, is to foster consumer loyalty, hence their image and B2B customers portal are extremely crucial to them. The Unilever project was created to make the process of purchasing products fast and, most importantly, accessible to customers and partners 24/7. By Unilever project means retail outlets can connect with new distributors, place orders, track special offers, and monitor the status of delivery of products to stores. B2B customers portal allows retail outlets to place orders at any convenient time, receive up-to-date assortment information in a catalog, where goods and prices are specifically personalized for each client; and save time on creating recurring orders. The work of distributors is also improving: by simplifying and automating business processes, distributor sales representatives can focus on communication and expanding their customer base.

Results

The delivery rollout included updating the Magento version to the latest one, reengineering the portal architecture and optimizing the logic of the database, ERP integration, and increasing performance both on desktop and mobile applications, processing the logic of the personal account, shopping cart, ordering and 24/7 SLA maintenance, to name a few. We are extremely proud of Mygento team that once again demonstrated the ability to overcome any challenge, constantly striving for excellence. But we cannot call it a day, because a lot of successful launches lie ahead!
