Orangetheory Fitness is an international franchise with over 560 fitness clubs worldwide. In June 2017, Orangetheory launched their first location in Hong Kong. They have been featured as a top gym in INC and Entrepreneur and are continuously expanding their brand and gym locations. Orangetheory Fitness approached MWI to help establish and build their online and local presence in Hong Kong. The goal was to increase the number of new membership accounts before launch. MWI has worked closely with the team at Orangetheory Fitness to watch this come to fruition.
Solution
Step 1 Paid Advertising MWI designed, developed, and optimized landing pages for individual and corporate audiences to capture pre-launch interest. MWI started running ads on Facebook and built a solid foundation of 1000+ leads. Following this, MWI ran cross promotional ads with other local businesses to continue to increase lead capture. These advertising campaigns yielded a 15x increase of pre-launch leads. 300 Before MWI 4600 With MWI Step 2 PR Placements In order to increase brand awarness and validation in the Hong Kong market, MWI secured 12 PR placements prior to launch. Placements included: ViuTV (one of the two major TV channels in HK) Runners World Sportsoho 100 Most (most popular Facebook media channel in HK) And more Working together, Orangetheory Fitnes and MWI obtained around 200 sign-ups just a month before the center opened.
