Challenge
Pemberton's Gourmet Foods was established nearly 20 years ago as a gourmet foods manufacturer specializing in small-batch artisan acidic food products. Most o the product they produce for other companies are pasta sauces, salsas, jams/jellies and condiments. They also produce and sell their own line of gourmet products including pasta sauces, mango salsa, marinades and steak sauce, and Death by Chocolate dessert topping. Shortly after the company was purchased, their website went offline. It was critical that a new quality website with ecommerce functionality be built and launched quickly so that customers would know they were still in business. Since the client's website had been offline for several months, clients and prospects started questioning whether the business was still open, which impacted sales. The website needed to appeal to their co-packing and private label clients plus include ecommerce functionality for selling their own products. A quality, branded website needed to be built in about 8 weeks to turn public perception and sales around. In addition, the company's overall online presence often presented in accurate information.
Solution
After several weeks of discovery and planning, the website design was presented and approved by the partners. The website was built used watercolor vegetable images, quality photos along and a homepage video to create an artisan themed website. The professional written copy was crafted to appeal to their target audience of foodies. Their logo was designed to connect with their current product labels. We also corrected their online presence so that Google My Business, Facebook and online directories contained consistently correct information for the company.
Results
The company is now connecting with clients and customer through their website and growing sales. Their online presence is directing visitors to their website and they can be found across the internet.
