Challenge
To help their community, IBEW Local 164 made a commitment of $50,000 in PPE, sanitizer, and food to be divided amongst seventeen hospitals in Bergen, Essex, and Hudson counties. IBEW Local 164 hired Direct Development to coordinate the deliveries with the hospitals and to publicize their donation to the media.
Solution
Coordinate delivery of 9,000 KN95 masks, 6,000 surgical gowns, 100 gallons of hand sanitizer, and $4,250 worth of food to seventeen hospitals in three counties. Plus, following the donations, contact more than thirty state and local press organizations to inform the community of IBEW Local 164’s donation.
Results
IBEW Local 164 received five local media placements, plus numerous social media posts from area hospitals thanking them for their donation.
