FloridaMakes is a catalyst for manufacturing growth in Florida by connecting those who need help with those who can help. FloridaMakes was created by manufacturers for manufacturers. It is operated by manufacturers in partnership with Florida’s Reginal Manufacturers Associations, the State of Florida and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). FloridaMakes came to DigitalUs with a blank slate With no existing website and no pre-conceived ideas of what they needed, FloridaMakes approached DigitalUs looking for a way to engage the manufacturing community in an effort to foster growth. DigitalUs launched a splash page that told the story of FloridaMakes so they could begin operations and then went to work on the full website. DigitalUs drew on its experience creating sites that generate participation and set about creating a channel through with FloridaMakes could successfully reach the manufacturing community in Florida. Some of the important items identified in the discovery phase included: Interactive design with mobile responsive coding Easy-to-use CMS for adding, editing and managing all content Robust events functionality with RSVP capability Integration with FloridaMakes’ CRM Prominent contact information
Solution
DigitalUs leveraged the power of Solodev CMS to create a winning project FloridaMakes relies heavily on its website to spread the word about the resources available for those in the manufacturing sector. A dynamic hero slider lets FloridaMakes impact visitors through strong imagery and video integration. Events are a big driver in networking and connecting manufacturers with each other and with related businesses and the FloridaMakes website helps facilitate those events. DigitalUs built the website with Solodev CMS because of its ability to easily manage a robust events calendar. The RSVP feature gives site administrators the option to have free registrations and paid registrations at different levels based on membership status. The site is integrated with FloridaMakes’ CRM so leads are automatically imported to their database. The news manager also makes it easy to keep the site fresh with the latest happenings of FloridaMakes.
Results
The site was well-received and made an impact right away FloridaMakes has been able to successfully utilize its website to engage the manufacturing community and begin building bridges between manufacturers and those who supply the needed goods and services to facilitate growth. More than just a great-looking site, the FloridaMakes website is a powerful marketing tool. It’s highly visual, highly functional and highly informational and site administrators quickly learned the use of Solodev CMS and are able to use the platform’s flexibility to its fullest. The mobile-responsive design looks great on mobile devices and also takes advantage of the resolution options of today’s larger desktop monitors.
