ZX Ventures, AB InBev's global incubator and VC, reached Amalgama to ideate and design a digital tool capable of increasing sales in restaurants and bars. Context Under the premise that restaurant employees are the main influencers on consumers, ZX Ventures decided to analyze the possibility of developing a platform that could help restaurants and bars maximize the average ticket. Challenges Testing Validating that the platform could actually increase the average ticket. Engagement Generating engagement and competition among the staff members. Simplicity Designing a platform that could match user’s routines and context. Integration Being able to view the data in real time.
Solution
Process Work hypothesis Through the client's validation board, the initial hypothesis were validated. Design and prototyping Based on the raised hypothesis, the prototype was designed. Validation The prototype was validated through interviews with potential users. Refinement and iteration Through staff´s internal competition overall performance was improved. Solution A tool that enhances the work process in order to achieve goals in an orderly and fun way. Results
The client moved forward with its development. It is planned to be launched in more than 10 Latin American countries.
