Challenge

The client planned to replace an old, in-house built ecommerce platform with a modern and fast platform using Next.js. 9thCO was selected to plan the migration thoroughly, enabling the client's dev team to Update the platform without sacrificing site speed, usability, search rankings or transactions.

Solution

Our team developed a four-prong website migration strategy: - Sandbox ecommerce site created using Next.js spun up in order to test search engine crawling, indexation, and performance on Core Web Vitals. - Keyword maps optimized to improve on existing rankings, and tailored to attract users to key categories. - Internationalization standards followed using hreflang implementation. - Product “theme” landing pages to attract customers not looking specifically for a title or author.

Results

26.2% increased FTB sales post-migration.
