Challenge

Hakka Dhaka is a brand based in Dhaka which specializes in serving Cantonese food. They have 10+ outlets in Dhaka city alone and they are known for serving budget-friendly meals. The challenge was that for a lot of days, the sales was stagnant for this brand because of a lot of new restaurants in the city which were giving it stiff competition and we noticed that we were losing customers in the segment of the youth. Since we weren't getting a lot of new customers in the younger age range we were losing sales and we were also losing market share in our recurring customer base, so we needed to do something to create a hype.

Solution

Inktober is a wildly participated internet fad in Bangladesh and a lot of youth participates in it. So we decided to create a challenge where customers can send us their inktober based doodle via Facebook and we will nominate three every week and design our table mats and takeaway food boxes based on those. The campaign was announced on Facebook and Tiktok via our Official page and through influencer engagement.

Results

Within days, the brand received 1000+ submissions and the campaign posts got a cumulative share of 200+. The campaign announcement posts reached 2,000,000 people within the first week and went on to receive a lot more impressions and reach as the campaign progressed. By the end of the campaign, Hakka Dhaka had managed to triple its sales in the month of the campaign and double its average sales on the month following the campaign.
