Challenge
Culture Clips is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization, with a social media platform to connect young people worldwide to talk about their identity, illuminate cultural clashes, ask questions, and connect in the spirit of friendship, building understanding and forging peaceful ways of getting along. To do this, we are leveraging technology in a unique way that will provide a neutral, safe social media platform for youth to dialogue and share their identity and culture; and provide an online resource for educators and youth leaders on cultural issues as explained or highlighted by youth.
Solution
Project Specification One-for-All Platform Culture Clips is created a multi-format platform which supports all formats of audio, video, images, documents submission. It makes very easy for users to just upload anything without bothering about format. Unified System All submissions like videos, audios, images, sketches, poems, stories, etc were stored on a Unified System for better access. Enhanced Accessibility To increase reach to students, kiosk version was created and installed in various Schools where students can record their videos and thoughts through kiosk. COPPA Compliance Rules were set to comply COPPA (Child Online Protection and Privacy Act), which focuses on protecting children under 13 years.
