Challenge

Most brands honor Moms on Mother’s Day – but we let the guys have fun. Why? Your Mom, that’s why. In a one-on-one competition, we pit a group of comedians against one another in a battle of “yo momma” jokes. Best jokes move on, losers go down in flames.

Solution

Through social listening efforts, we learned that one of our audiences favorite things about taking a shot of Fireball is that it feels like you could actually breath fire after. Knowing this, The Escape Pod wanted to have some April Fool’s Day fun. We created a series of snarky content that could trick even the most ardent Fireball Whisky fan into believing a limited edition version of Fireball was being released. What’s so special about this version? The formula allows you to breath fire. Literally. This prank was supported socially with a teaser video to generate excitement and a branded video further explaining the “new product.” The video ran on social platforms, including Snapchat, all ultimately driving to a Fireball Branded Snapchat Lens that would allow our fans to breath fire. Over 185,000 people tested this out and shared with family and friends, generating over 4,000,000 impressions. March is known for many social occasions. It’s the start of spring, patio season and of course, St. Patrick’s day. But, what’s the one thing bringing crowds to bars throughout the month and even into April? The NCAA Tournament. The Escape Pod created a series of social posts and in-bar videos dramatizing the classic “Pop-A-Shot” game, bringing to life the tension and excitement of the tournament, and capturing the emotions our drinkers feel while they watch the games. When it comes to Friendsgiving and other holidays, you can either bring the food, or you bring the booze. And Fireball drinkers? They’re not much for cooking. TEP created a series of failed “Fireball Friendsgiving” recipes for use online, in-bar and on social platforms. From green bean casserole to apple pie, we’ll show the step-by-step of how not to prepare a Friendsgiving dinner. What do you do after you’ve ruined your dish? Bring a bottle of Fireball, of course.
