Challenge
Shopify is one of the world’s largest commerce platforms, allowing their users to quickly create, grow, and manage their online stores. We had the pleasure of working with them to help architect and rewrite their existing mobile app Arrive, which was previously available on iOS only.
Solution
Arrive lets customers track all of their online purchases, sending them push notifications and updates every step of the way. The new app that we helped develop is available on both iOS and Android. Using React Native, Typescript, and the Apollo GraphQL client, we established best practices for adopting React Native within Shopify. In addition to allocating developer resources to help build Arrive, we also enabled multiple Shopify engineering teams by providing 1-on-1 and group on-boarding sessions. These sessions introduced mobile and web developers to the React Native framework in order to promote its adoption across the engineering organization.
