Challenge
Wetaxi is one of the major taxi apps in the Italian market. Defined the “anti-Uber” by the Italian press, after a round of funding, it was set to take over 4 more cities and approached the REPLUG team to work together on a long-term solution. Wetaxi had 2 main challenges: Improve the presence in both App Store and Google Play Store Increase conversion rate from visit to the Store Pages
Solution
REPLUG started with an in-depth assessment of the Status Quo that helped our ASO expert team to identify immediate actions in both off-page and on-page optimization activities that would result in long-term wins. Our focus was mainly on 2 areas: 1.Rework of visuals – Our designers implemented a full rework of key visual elements focusing on communicating the USP in the first two screenshots and putting user experience at the center of the visual communication. 2.Optimization of key on-page factors – Our team of ASO experts optimized content and keywords for both Store listings, by following a systematic research approach of the competition, and keywords opportunities, in terms of visibility score and ranking opportunities. To these actions, we added a Search strategy that supported ranking growth over time and proved our team right by creating immediate value in terms of organic visibility.
Results
The changes implemented had a great impact in terms of general Stores ranking and keyword search visibility, as well as improving CTR in Store search visits to the listings. Our ASO experts focused on identifying and implementing changes for key on-page elements to improve the way users would perceive Wetaxi’s Store Listings. The model implemented also allowed us to A/B test different versions of the changes to understand the best performing version. The changes achieved have been clearly visible to the Wetaxi team as we managed to increase organic visibility and conversions dramatically.
