Challenge

Maine Island Soap has been in the market for years and wanted to take their handmade soaps to the next level without losing the heart of their Maine-made products.

Solution

With an emphasis on “pure and natural as the Maine coast” the updated design for their line of soaps shares universal iconography, like a pine tree cutout on each soap box, showing the beautiful colors and textures of the small-batch soaps. Paired with personalized front-facing illustrations that showed the rich imagery of the Pine Tree State and featured Maine locations in each scent’s name. The minimal design is clean, easy to understand, and pops off the shelves as both a treasured keepsake and beautifully functional piece of everyday life. We like to think of it as soap and a company with a story to tell.
