Challenge
Being one of the world’s largest websites doesn’t necessarily guarantee mobile success, which is why Reddit sought our help in gaining more exposure for their app, both in conversion optimization and especially in the most competitive keyword and phrases departments. Objective Following the launch of their mobile app, Reddit employed Moburst to assist them with scaling their organic growth, replicating the success of the company’s website. With over a dozen apps accessing its content on iOS and Google Play, Reddit sought to stand out as the Official Reddit App. With millions of existing unique subreddits – attracting users with an array of interests was already a daunting task even before factoring in the limited space for keywords and metadata phrases.
Solution
Tactics Utilizing our proprietary tools and expertise, we conducted a thorough keyword research with a focus on mobile searches, and identified which content themes were most relevant and searched for within the App and Google Play stores. Through consistent monitoring and optimization of keyword & download metrics, we were able to achieve consistent month-by-month growth.
Results
Delivery and results In less than one year we delivered for Reddit staggering results including: An over 90% increase in organic downloads in less than a year. More than 700 phrases indexed in the App Store’s top 5 rankings. Reaching the top 5 results for high trafficked keywords such as “Meme,” “Memes,” “GIF,” and “GIFs.”
