Challenge

Mountain to Mountain aims to provide tools and support to empower the underserved communities of Dominica to become more self-sufficient through agriculture and sustainable living practices. In September 2017, the small island of Dominica was devastated by Hurricane Maria, a Category 5 storm. The island’s larger towns are slowly beginning to rebuild, but many rural communities continue to live in sub-optimal conditions brought on by the disaster. Through cooperative resources, Mountain to Mountain aims to provide volunteer opportunities, educational instruction, and financial disbursements to help connect and position these communities to develop sustainable practices that grow and enhance lives, and improve their livelihoods.

Solution

Kudzu Brands helped Mountain to Mountain develop a brand aesthetic and marketing materials that easily communicated who they are and what they do. We developed each piece of marketing collateral to support their organizational strategy, clearly define their unique message and provide a recognizable “face” for their local efforts.

Results

Mountain to Mountain established their identity and brand in the market by providing a variety of materials including a logo, a website, a bank of language, and collateral pieces such as brochures, business cards and folders. Now, they have the tools and resources they need to go out into the community and explain who they are to gain support.
