Challenge

The ABB FIA Formula E Championship in NYC was the culmination to a season of electric car street races hosted in major cities around the globe - and the Allianz E-Village was Formula E’s fan festival at the heart of the E-Prix. It was envisioned to be an engaging space that would provide entertainment and immersive fan experiences alongside its weekend races.

Solution

As the Event Services Provider, BaAM collaborated closely with Formula E and its global partners to provide project management support, lead site design, develop custom interactives, and create an engaging space for fans. On site, BaAM provided logistics management, programmed all entertainment, and oversaw installation and dismantle. The Allianz E-Village space was organized by different thematic Zones. Fans could opt to catch a breath (and a boost) at the Recharge Zone or compete in a friendly scooter race at the Kids Zone. The Taste Zone featured an extensive foodie market while the nearby Stage Zone hosted live family-friendly entertainment throughout the day. The custom interactive activities and event design ensured fans had fun and could easily maneuver throughout the site. Over the course of the 2-day event, attendance at the E-Village surpassed 15,000 fans.
