Challenge

The "Impact Campaign" is an ambitious, multimillion-dollar fundraising campaign to invest in one of the San Gabriel Valley’s most vital economic engines: Pasadena City College. Launched by the nonprofit PCC Foundation and helmed by Dr. Jack Scott, this was the first comprehensive major gifts campaign in the College’s history. The initiative aimed to meet the needs of a rapidly changing 21st Century workforce by bridging the “skills gap” between employers’ demands and job seekers’ abilities.

Solution

With an initial goal of $10 million when it kicked off, PCC’s first-of-its-kind “Impact Campaign” raised about $16 million, which will be dedicated to four major initiatives to improve outcomes for its 29,000 students: scholarships, career and technical education, arts and athletics.
