Challenge
Wilkinson Center’s mission is to transform the lives of Dallas families by helping them overcome poverty-related challenges — including food insecurity, lack of education, economic instability, and unemployment — with dignity and respect. Their programs have the highest GED training success rate in Dallas. Wilkinson Center is made up of several different volunteer groups, and each group hosts different events benefiting the Center, from community luncheons to galas. The events bring in big crowds, but the Wilkinson Center branding was not consistent across event promotions. Additionally, the Center’s own institutional branding and program lacked a consistent look, feel, and voice. To grow their volunteer and donor network, they needed to grow brand affinity and awareness, but to do so, everything they worked on needed a clear and consistent tie back to the cause.
Solution
We stepped back and took a big-picture audit of Wilkinson Center’s marketing efforts, taking an especially hard look at their branding. With help from our team of designers and strategists, we created a robust branding deck recommending logo and messaging updates and ways to implement them across platforms, from social media to their website to event marketing.
Results
We presented our recommendations and a comprehensive brand book to the entire Wilkinson Center marketing team, and these resources became the go-to branding and style guides to be used to update their current resources, as well as to create all marketing material moving forward.
