The #FitDC campaign
Challenge
The #FitDC campaign by DC Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Aetna, is a movement to keep the District’s citizens mentally and physically fit. The campaign was rebranded this year as #FitDC3.
Solution
Project Goals DC Parks and Recreation (DCDPR) was looking to build a new website for their #FitDC3 campaign rebranding. They were in need of enhanced SEO services and a more sophisticated sitemap to house all of their content and resources. DC Dev Shop was to work hand-in-hand with the Director of Communications in building out the wireframes and graphic elements to ensure the campaign’s seamless transition to the new website. Scope of Services DC Dev Shop planned out a new navigation to build a more organized site structure with child pages under the same domain name, unlike the campaign’s single-page website predecessor. The campaign’s rebranding was to align with a site redesign that is clean, modern, responsive and accessible for the entire population of Washington, DC. Content coming in from partners was to be edited for search engine optimization and general readability. The site, now hosted on WordPress, was integrated with Splash to allow DCDPR to keep using their preferred CRM and marketing platform. Ongoing SEO support continues post launch.
