Challenge

The Lincoln Trail District Health Department is the primary public health agency serving the six-county region of the Lincoln Trail District in central Kentucky. The agency’s primary goal is to assure the public’s health and safety through prevention, promotion, and protection efforts. Lincoln Trail District Health Department (LTDHD) was seeking an effective means of disseminating information for safe sleep practices within their district.

Solution

We worked with the agency to create a strategic social media campaign, which was successful in reaching their target audience, raising awareness, and growing their social media audience. From there, our scope of work has grown extensively. We currently provide comprehensive social media management and marketing services to LTDHD’s various departments. Through custom content creation, community management, and paid advertising we have assisted LTDHD in raising awareness for a myriad of public health topics, issues of note, and specialized campaigns including the teen vaping epidemic, WIC benefits, flu vaccinations, and the COVID-19 pandemic. We have also worked directly with LTDHD’s health educators and local coalition leaders to garner support for smoke-free policy initiatives within the district. In addition to our social media services, we also partnered with the Lincoln Trail District Health Department to create a modern, user-friendly website to better serve their communities. Launched in early 2020, the functionality incorporated into the new site has made public health information more readily available, streamlined various application and payment processes, and played a crucial role in dispersing information related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
