Challenge

On 29th June 2019, Founders Ian and Nicola Lloyd left the Precious Little One warehouse for the last time as managing partners. Having built the business from scratch into a leading nursery retailer by helping parents, they’ve now passed the management of the business on to their team. In doing so, they complete a circle of rewarding those who’ve helped them achieve their goals. Attacat have supported PreciousLittleOne’s growth for 13 years. The challenge To help the founders realise their dream of building a business that would sustain them, create opportunities for local people, and make life easier for new parents. We originally approached the client (when they were turning over less than £1M) in 2007 to help them make more of their Google Ad spend.

Solution

The approach Improving Customer Experience Continuous evolution of the website to increase product depth, stock levels, presentation and ease of buying. Providing helpful advice to parents. Cross-Channel Integration & SEO Working in partnership across channels and ensuring Google’s algorithms are able to understand the market leading proposition so the site ranks effectively. Making The Most of Google Ads Taking advantage of Google's continuous innovation in ads including early adoption of new formats, targeting, measurement, bidding and research. Business Knowledge & Involvement Truly understanding and reporting on profit rather than just revenue, and being emotionally invested in the founders’ vision.

Results

Many new parents have saved money as a result of PreciousLittleOnes fairly priced products and sage advice about only buying what’s needed. The industry delivery times have dropped from 12 weeks to 24 hours as a result of the service. Manufacturers have had their products well represented. Through growing, the business has contributed to a market town economy and created incredible career opportunities (not least for Kerry, who first joined the team as has now taken on the reins as the General Manager). Ian and Nicola have been able to realise their dream of a world tour! They’ve contributed to Attacat’s growth for more than 14 years giving us the opportunity to grow our team and sharpen our ecommerce offering. We’re now ready for more 14 year journeys! Are you?
