Challenge

Solv helps people book a doctor's appointment quickly through their smartphone app. Just in time for COVID, Solv launched video telemed so people could see a doctor from anywhere. What was the best and most efficient way to get the word out when people in quarantine needed to hear it the most? Solv’s goal is simple: access to quick, affordable healthcare for everyone. During any other time, seeing a doctor was already a complicated task. Which doctor is good? Does insurance cover it? Is there a long wait? But during a global pandemic, the big question is, “can I even see a doctor?” Solv launched their video telemedicine platform, and now was the time to get it in front of people. But without being able to utilize a large crew for a video – how would it be done?

Solution

When the pandemic started, no one understood the true nature of the virus. So, everyone quarantined. During that time, there was no way a full video crew could come together to shoot for several days. Instead, we took the core concept of what video telemedicine is and found a way to express that graphically, and still with real people involved, but without the need for any crews on location. The Production We plotted out different scenarios in which people would actually require urgent telemed care via their smart device. We held a remote casting session to find talent, figured out the particulars of capturing each scenario, and directed performances remotely. We used their smartphone footage to structure the video, then anchored it with voiceover, and finally amplified it with custom motion graphics and music.

Results

Solv now has a clean, effective way to differentiate their video telemed solution from others and illustrate how easy they’ve made it to receive quality healthcare anytime, anywhere.
