Challenge

The Bridge Yard presented an exciting opportunity for us to design a beautiful brand for a longtime client. Oakland Venue Management approached us about a new venture–a completely restored event space on the Oakland pier converted from a historic streetcar repair facility.

Solution

We developed their brand, including logo, brand strategy, print materials, and web design and development to expertly communicate the vision. LOGO & VISUAL BRAND IDENTITY The Bridge Yard building has a signature sawtooth roof that is visible when you cross the Bay Bridge into Oakland. We worked the sawtooth effect into each logo concept we created, while visually communicating that the Bridge Yard is a building. As always, we provided a Visual Branding Guide including rules governing correct logo usage, a brand color scheme, and coordinating typography. BRAND STORYTELLING Over a series of meetings, we worked with the client to define their brand archetype, ideal client personas, unique value proposition, key messages, brand story, and storytelling opportunities. The end result was a comprehensive messaging and brand guide to inform external communications and get new team members up to speed. RESPONSIVE WEBSITE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT Upon visiting thebridgeyard.com, we wanted users to feel like they’re stepping into the building itself. We utilized large-format imagery and animation to make the website come alive with the feeling of the Bridge Yard itself. Like all our websites, the design is fully responsive and looks great on all modern devices. FENCE MESH DESIGN The Bridge Yard hosts large outdoor events. To stylishly corral the crowds, we designed branded fence mesh for all necessary fencing. SALES BROCHURE DESIGN First impressions are huge when it comes to sales. We developed digital and print sales brochures for the sales team to use to communicate the nitty-gritty of how events work and what’s possible at the Bridge Yard. BUSINESS CARD DESIGN No brand is complete without an accompanying business card. This business card design highlights the location and building that makes the Bridge Yard the Bay Area’s newest and most unique venue.
