Phase 10, a beloved family card game under the Mattel brand, sought to boost awareness and drive downloads of their app, Phase 10: World Tour, through a high-impact advertising campaign in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. The challenge was to strategically utilize out-of-home (OOH) advertising to generate tens of millions of impressions while leveraging innovative tactics like QR codes to engage users.

Solution

To achieve the campaign goals, Anderson Collaborative partnered with Outfront Media and AdQuick to develop a strategic OOH advertising plan. Key components of the campaign included: 25 backlit kiosks in high-traffic areas like West Village and Downtown Dallas. 7 digital displays at popular Dallas malls. Programmatic mobile retargeting ads using device tracking and geographic proximity to OOH placements. QR codes on all creative materials to enable immediate app downloads and measure the performance of individual placements. This comprehensive media plan was designed to generate maximum visibility for Phase 10: World Tour, while programmatic retargeting ensured that potential users were reminded to engage with the brand after encountering the ads.
