Taylor Made Farms
Challenge
Taylor Made Farms, one of the most recognized names in Thoroughbred sales, asked Adcolor to develop a solution that would enable them to showcase their Grade 1 (G1) winning horses, a prestigious accolade in the equine industry. They needed something not only visually sound, but able to withstand the wear and tear of exhibition while traveling.
Solution
Adcolor's innovative and creative artists generated an idea based on equine aesthetics, fusing them with the established Taylor Made branding elements. They proposed a full solution appropriate for outdoor use selecting a combination of ink and rigid materials able to withstand frequent handling, travel, light dirt and chemical abrasion. The result was a solution that is water and UV resistant, surface cleanable and mobile. Accompanying the awards are individual, modular storage cases for easy transport and display. Custom manufactured hardware finishing allows for quick and precise hanging and display of individual awards whenever, wherever needed. Adcolor's project team proposed several material options throughout the design process. Multiple samples were produced and evaluated at various stages to find a best fit to meet the function and aesthetic requirements of the awards. A unique layering process was utilized to not only create visual interest but to also create a true-tactile experience for the simulated stone layer.
Results
Adcolor won a coveted Golden Image Award at the 2015 Specialty Graphics International Association Expo in Atlanta, GA with the submission of this Taylor Made project concept and execution.
