Challenge
Users didn’t know what they were supposed to do MedFlyt’s UX was confusing and dated. Their bootstrap template was good enough for their first few months, but they knew they’d soon be left behind if they didn’t bring their design up to speed. They wanted to increase app usage, fast — and they quickly realized they needed to invest in a sleek interface that resonated with both users and investors. They set out to find an expert. After interviewing at least 10 candidates, MedFlyt’s Head of Product hit upon Aaron. Immediately, he felt confident Aaron would be able to jump on board quickly, grasp their concept, and provide a beautiful and eminently usable end product.
Solution
Dive right in, no delays Aaron understood MedFlyt’s needs: they wanted to improve their existing product, not overhaul and redesign it from scratch. He dove right in. The primary goal was to improve usability. He worked closely with MedFlyt’s Head of Product to understand exactly where users were getting lost. Aaron found creative workarounds at each stage and created a crystal clear flow that moved users from point A to B to C in a seamless, streamlined manner. The secondary goal was to create a modern, well-designed interface. Here, too, Aaron took the time to assess the existing design and pinpoint the problematic elements. He created a new look for the product’s site and app that would position MedFlyt as an industry leader and give them an edge over the competition.
Results
MedFlyt was so blown away by the user feedback and steadily-growing customer base that a few months later, they re-hired Aaron to redesign their entire app. And it didn’t stop there! To date, Aaron and MedFlyt have worked on 30-40 successful initiatives together. A 53% increase in mobile app use and an average 4.8 star rating from over 5,400 UX-happy users
